This 3-day private culinary journey moves from Quito through the Andean highlands , through artisan workshops, volcanic crater lakes, organic farms, and flower plantations , and every step is grounded in taste, craft, and living tradition. The Journey,
Day by Day
Day 1
Arrival & The Middle of the World , Andean Cosmology & Sensory Calibration
The journey opens at Quitsato , one of the most precise and meaningful 'Middle of the World' sites in Ecuador. Accompanied by a specialist guide, you are introduced to Andean cosmology and ancestral astronomy, gaining insight into how indigenous cultures interpreted time, seasons, and agricultural cycles. From here the day transitions: freshly baked bizcochos paired with queso de hoja, a private botanical scent experience among Ecuador's iconic blooms, a curated lunch in a tranquil rural setting, a guided visit to Otavalo's Poncho Market with two pre-arranged artisan encounters, and a chef-led private dinner that draws together the day's flavors into a refined culinary narrative.
Day 2
Craftline Makers & Volcanic Landscapes , Hands-On Artistry & Atelier Craftsmanship
The morning begins in living Andean craft. Guests are welcomed into select workshops dedicated to ancestral textile weaving and handcrafted Andean instruments , participation is invited. The journey continues to Cotacachi for a private appointment at a single, carefully selected leather atelier , a refined encounter with materials, techniques, and philosophy, with the option for discreet personalisation. Lunch is hosted at a traditional hacienda. In the afternoon, Cuicocha Crater Lake provides a panoramic pause overlooking the turquoise caldera, accompanied by a warm Andean herbal infusion.
Day 3
Taste of Tradition & Living Agriculture , Ecological Learning & Medicinal Knowledge
The final day brings an intimate introduction to Andean agricultural tradition at Chaupichupa Integral Farm , an ecological sanctuary dedicated to organic cultivation, medicinal plants, and sustainable practices rooted in generations of local knowledge. The visit is built around conversation and observation, not performance. A traditional lunch featuring regional flavors grounds the experience in the land itself. The journey concludes at Nayón's renowned plant nurseries, where a final host-led botanical close leaves you not with a souvenir, but with a renewed relationship to flavor, place, and craft.
